Influencing policy

The Crisis States Programme is concerned that the work we do should have an influence upon policy makers. In the first instance, this occurs through our relationship with the U.K. Department for International Development, whom we regularly brief on the conclusions arising from our research.  However, we also endeavour to extend the influence of the Crisis States Programme internationally and are pursuing this in a number of ways.  The Centre's Communications and Policy Officer, Joost van der Zwan, has overall responsibility for ensuring that research reaches the wider community.

Details of public debates, seminars and conferences are announced on our Events page.

Briefing Papers, designed to assist policy making, can be found here.

We also seek to disseminate our findings within a targeted audience of researchers, policymakers and non-governmental organisations.
